Dharma talk movie in Buddhist church of San Francisco

Hi, everybody.
November.18th 2012, this was first time I got a chance to give a dharma talk in English in Buddhist church of San Francisco.
2 monthes before the dharma talk, Rev.Kobata asked me to do it.

This was first time for me, so I was very nervous, and prepared for it.
It was 'Esinnni and Kakusinni service'.
I heard children would listen together,
so, I thought easy story but I hope they could understand the essence of Buddhism.
The story was the efforts of Eshinni and Kakushinni,
my religious experience, and about my father.
I used 4-frame buddhist comic that I draw about 4 and 8 sufferings.
I gave the prints to everybody.

There were about 50 people.
Most of them were Japanese III,IV.
But, there were other religious people.
It seemed 90% of them could understand only English.
I was talking and watching how everybody felt.
But, people almost listened very carefully,
It made me relax, then I was in the mood.
I could raise a laugh, it made me exciting. Yeah!
I talked about my father's memory.
So, some of them reminded their own father with tears.

The full movie is a little bit long,
so I made this short video.
You can see the outline.

In full movie there are Japanese sub titles.

At the end, I spoke in Japanese a little.

After dharma talk, they gave me such comments.
For example.

"It reminds me my father's death. I wanted to say I'm sorry
to my father too. So, I couldn't stop crying."

"It was beautiful emotional story.
I could understand Buddhist purpose clearly."

"Thank you for sharing your father's story.
Your father must be proud of you."

"Your 4-frame comics was very funny, cute,
and easy to understand."

Click and see it, please.
