New year video letter 2014

Last year was great year for me.

I could study at IBS and GTU.
After that, I could join IMOP training to be a oversea minister.

Hi, this is Koun Yuko Kubo. I'm a buddhist priest and also a painter from Japan. I came to the USA to tell people about Buddhism. In Kyoto, I gave dharma talks many times. There were some people from foreign countries. I wanted to give them more details of Buddhism. So I learned English. Last year I came here as an exchange student of Ryukoku University Doctoral Course, Kyoto. Now, I study Buddhism at IBS (The Institute of Buddhist Studies) in Berkeley, CA. I gave dharma talks in San Francisco Buddhist church 4 months ago and Berkeley Buddhist church half month ago. My buddhism is "Pureland Buddhism", which called "Jodo-Shinshu" in Japan. In this Buddhism, there is a religious experience that is similar to "Satori" of Zen-Buddhism. But, almost all Americans don't know it. So, I'd like to tell people about it. I'm also a painter. I paint the world of Pureland Buddhism. I'm happy if you like my paintings.
